Hartford Highline Community Center

The Hartford Highline Community Center is multiuse facility, designed for family and social recreation for the people of Asylum Hill and Downtown Hartford. The project highlights key aspects of modern community, recreation, and architecture.

The building was designed to flow with its counterpart elevated park, The Hartford Highline, by bringing pedestrians and bikers to the multiuse building above the ground plane. The project encouraged outdoor movement to each space, as well as developed site access at both ground and park level. The facilities main attractions are retail space, athletic space, theater space, and a wellness center.
